Kallar Syedan is a large town situated about 50 kms from Rawalpindi. The town has grown at a tremendously fast pace over the past 20 years. The present population of Kallar Syedan and its immediate suburbs stands at over 110,000 people. Like any other fast growing town in Pakistan, Kallar Syedan also lacks a clean and healthy environment for its populace, particularly at the schooling facilities presently available. Hence, there was a dire need of setting up a quality educational institute located in an open, pollution free environment.

A piece of land, measuring about 20 kanals ( 2.5 acres ), was purchased about 2 kms out of the town, and a double story block of 11 rooms with a covered area of over 7200 sq. ft. was constructed as a first phase of construction.

Beginning April 2000, we started the first year session with 7 classes i.e. Nursery to class V. Each year we have moved up one class, thereby in the year 2007/2008 we had F.Sc final year in session.

The Construction of the school building was planned in phases

The first phase of the constructions was completed in March 2000. Since then we have been making yearly additions to the original accommodation and have constructed an exclusive academic block, which continues to be expanded every year.

From Class V onwards the boys and girls have separate sections for 
each class.

The school was elevated to college level ( F.SC.) in September 2006 and F.Sc final year class went into session in 2007/2008.

To promote female education fifty percent seats have been reserved for 
girl students. 

The schooll as welll as the college have been registered with the education department, Govt. of Punjab and are affiliated with the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education

ACTIVITIES

Shaheen Public School & College wants its students to participate in various extra-curricular activities ranging from sports to drama, enabling them to fully enjoy and participate in their school life.

SPORTS

The school complex has been designed to provide separate outdoor sports grounds and facilities for girls and boys. The school has the area and the capacity to cater for major sports like football, hockey, basketball and cricket.

EXCURSION

The school recognizes the importance of outings and day trips for the children and has has a wide-ranging programme of school visits to museums, parks, gardens and cultural heritage sites.
